Sousa, renown American band leader and composer, visited Los Angeles for a series of concerts marking his 50th year as a band leader. The University of California at Los Angeles Bruin Band welcomed Sousa upon arrival and escorted him through the city. Sousa is seen here conducting the band on a train platform.
