Torture case--Former Huntington Park policemen Robert Rodriguez, left, and William Lustig as they appeared in L.A. Municipal Court Monday to plead not guilty to charges of torturing a youth with a gun in an effort to induce him to confess to the theft of a car radio. A preliminary hearing for Rodriguez, 25, and Lustig, 31--who were fired a week ago from the Huntington Park force--was scheduled for Jan. 21. Charges against the youth were dropped by the district attorney., Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
