Text reads in part: IMPORTANT - FOR FRONT PAGE STORY WITH PICTURE 6/26/36 From Adelbert Bartlett. Dear Mr. Warren: ... Capt. Eugene R. Plummer, whose family at one time owned a total of 4444.44 acres comprising the famous Rancho La Brea, upon which most of Hollywood now stands, would be glad to receive from our Pioneer Days Committee a written invitation ... El Rey de la Vaqueros, Aug 1927, Eugene R. Plummer and his family once owned sections of Los Angeles including the Hancock Park area, mid-Wilshire, Hollywood Hills, and West Hollywood.
