1927 was the first year the the Tournament of Roses Parade had a theme, "Songs in Flowers," with each float typifying a song, "La Paloma" float with white doves suspended over a garden inhabited by 6 persons in Spanish attire, including a man in a hat playing lute near center, and singers Jose Arias, Thea La Forte, Sybil Tyler and Ella Archer.
