Text reads in part: SANTA MONICA(CALIF.) SCHOOL CHILDREN'S PLAQUE OFFICIALLY PRESENTED TO S.S.CONSTITUTION. Santa Monica city officials yesterday visited San Diego where they dedicated a bronze plaque given recently by school children of that city to the S.S. Constitution. The plaque commemorates the visit of 'Old Ironsides' to Santa Monica Bay in October of 1933. At the ceremony the plaque which is the work of Tess Razelle, Santa Monica artist, was nailed to the mizzen mast of the frigate by Miss Alice Carter, daughter of the Santa Monica mayor, under the direction of commander Gulliver. ..., Text from nitrate negative sleeve: Bartlett 2620 Mar 10 1934.
